Our Background
Hi, I'm Audrey Allen, an abstract artist originally from Lexington, North Carolina, now residing in Monroe. My artistic journey began as a little girl, surrounded by a lineage of artists, including the renowned Maud Gatewood. Taking many art classes as a child, I fell in love with the creative process early on.

After graduating from high school in 2014, I set out to pursue my passion for art. However, life had its own plans for me. I became a mother to a beautiful daughter, which led me to put my artistic ambitions on hold to focus on my growing family. A few years later, I had a second child, and amidst the joys and challenges of motherhood, I found a new kind of inspiration. During this time, I also got married, and my family became the cornerstone of my life.

Despite the busy and fulfilling life as a mother and wife, my passion for art never waned. This led to an exciting new chapter as an owner and manager of Presson Gallery in Monroe. Here, I have the privilege of curating and showcasing diverse artworks, including my own. This role allows me to fully immerse myself in the art world, fostering a vibrant community of creativity and expression.

Through my work at Presson Gallery and other abstract creations, I strive to evoke deep emotions and invite introspection, drawing inspiration from my personal experiences. Though my journey has taken unexpected turns, each step has enriched my artistic vision and continues to inspire my creative endeavors.
